New Jersey Repertory Company. A non-profit theater developing new productions

New Jersey Repertory Company

Performing Arts

Founded by SuzAnne Barbaras and Gabor Barbaras in 1997, the New Jersey Repertory is a non-profit theater whose sole mission is to develop new productions, challenge audiences, and expand the interest in theater throughout its surrounding community.

The group presents not only classic works but also productions by new and up and coming playwrights. They have produced 83 plays in 14 seasons, many of which have gone on to be produced by regional theaters across the nation and overseas. They encourage new playwrights to send in their work, holding an open-submission policy and receiving almost 500 new scripts each year from people across the U.S.

The NJ Rep is a theater whose only goal is to create a lasting contribution to the American stage.
